The server has been relocated, the IP changed, and the software was updated. Yes, this was a bit sudden. :ninja:

Oh, and hi guys :P

If you're here, you're in the right place. I have resumed hosting the site and the smaugmuds.org domain is back in my custody. Kayle is aware and we handled transferring the assets over a few hours ago. Everything should be up and running nice and smooth. Keep an eye out for any weirdness though, you never know with these things.

What does this mean? Probably not a great deal. Though you might notice a sharp decline in those pesky spambots now since the server I'm on has some aggressive blocks in place at the Apache level so by virtue of moving over, that should drop significantly and be less of a hassle for all involved.

Remcon will continue to remain on as the project's head - I'm merely a back end guy here with an occasional activity spike when the interest arises. I've had a bit more time for this sort of thing lately since compiling UE4 engine code doesn't leave much room on my PC for fiddling with Skyrim modding while that's happening so I had some free idle cycles to devote to cleaning up code and such.

QSFP is now running off of the version 1.6 branch which was suspended 3 years ago when I lost interest. It's been cleaned up for this update and is now sitting in a GitHub repository of its own. I realize it's not the best software around, but it's what we have, it works, and the code is there for anyone to help improve if they want. I have investigated other software packages but none of the free ones would really work and I can't afford a license to move to IPB or something like it.

I, for one, welcome the return of our new overlord! :imp:
