Two suggestions for this particular image. Clip the bottom at the bottom-left corner of the dragon's neck, that way you get a clean edge that doesn't make it look like the head itself is floating without a body. Also, if you don't want some kind of image as a backdrop, you might want to hand-blur the shadow of the dragon a bit, and perhaps make it a darker shade of grey.
