Near the top it has this
   project->name = NULL;

Then later on it has this
         case 'N':
            if( !str_cmp( word, "Name" ) )
               DISPOSE( project->name );
            KEY( "Name", project->name, fread_string_nohash( fp ) );
            break;

DISPOSE of course will make sure that its not NULL before it frees it, point is we know it should be free so it's not really needed.
