Well I found a bug in the locker snippet I was using, so I am probably going to port over LOPS locker system. I will let you know if I notice any bugs. Ummm I did have a question about Banks. Are your alts suppose to be able to be added to your share list? I am not sure if your mud allows muling of items or not. So I thought I would ask.

Well I never cared so I set it up for the purpose of it helping out. People always find a way to do things like that anyways haha. Some will bury an item somewhere and go dig it up with another character etc... Pass it to a friend who passes it to an alt etc... It is hard to eliminate it all anyways and half the time not worth trying to prevent haha. Feel free to use the locker system if you want to. The one you found a bug in I recall finding lots of issues with way back when lol.

Unless you setup a loyal flag and bind that to a pfile, you can't keep players from setting up alts. heh

Well the loyal flag or whatever. More or less you have to take away the ability for them to ever get rid of the item at all if you don't want them passing it to an alt haha.

I'd like to ask something that I don't know what it is.

Somebody can explain me what is the wilderness system? I don't understand what it does, how can make a room as a wilderness, etc. I read some times, but I never understand at all.

It is just more or less a room description that you walk around in. Flag the room as a wilderness and edit the room description much like the one that has been setup just to show how it works.

Well you don't have to disable or enable it. If you never set a room as a wilderness room you don't have to even worry about it :)

how about a way to keep track of the different ips that log in since the last reboot? You know one that would say blahblah many players have logged in since the that reboot.

Well which are you asking for the number of logins or the number of different ips that log in. Very different things actually.

Hello:

I would like to ask you something. Could someone explain me where is the welcome message? The message wich ask you what name are you going to use in the mud. I can't locate it.

Then, Could someone explain me how to port an snippet from another codebase to LOP? I know that it's really difficult, but if you tell me in wich files are usually included... May be I will learn to do that.

I don't think snippets meant for smaug is that hard to port over to LOP. I port things from LOP to smaug with ease. The other part, i'm not sure on. Never looked at how Remcon has it set up.

That is the one your talking about right? It is in the system directory in the help.dat file. You can modify it online using hedit greeting.

Ok the snippet thing as dbna said shouldn't be to bad. You will have to post specific issues/questions in relations to any snippet your trying though since all require different things to be added/modified.

Thanks for help with the breetings message. I never thought that it would be in a help file.

Then, I would like to put an snippet to remort characters, and another to allows buy and shell houses, and port some skills wich I've seen in Afkmud, like forge, mining, or something like that.

Afkmud has a lot of things wich are very interesting. Someone knows a snippet to make something that I said up? Can explain me how to install in LOP? (some guidelines)

All of those should be fairly easy at least the snippet ones. Just give them a try and if you run into problems feel free to ask. The skills from afkmud depends on what all it needs added, but over all shouldn't be to bad either. Same applies for any though if you run into issues just ask and I'll help out when possible :)
