Hey I am trying to remove directional icons from the map and just have the room icons print without them or spaces. I having a hard time doing this. So far it looks like this.

Any ideas?

Well, you could start with looking for areas where the blank spaces are being pushed into the strings in place of the | - which have been removed. Seems from your copy paste of your map east and wests don't not have the spacing, and only north and south exits have the spacing. So there's a good place to start.
