The R-tie or racing tie looks and feels almost exactly like the Tie Interceptor. The only real difference is that its wings are more like the old droid fighter and that it has no weaponry. There is one thing this ship does though, move really fast. The Empire launched these ships to get into racing after KDY made it's name there, of course as cheaters though. However the Empire has only had a few wins after their short stay in racing. Maybe this R-tie will grant them more wins?
