Bug: Overzealous conversion to const char renders code uncompilable.
Danger: High - Code won't finish compiling (sometimes?).

A bit of overzealous const fixing has led to a problem that CYGWIN of all things caught. I'm still trying to figure out why AndLinux and Arthmoor both missed this one.
