Version 1.56 of AFKMud has been released.
This is a bugfix/maintenance release.
Standard disclaimer type stuff: Changes in this version may or may not remain compatible with your
older support files, such as areas, commands, skills, socials, etc. If things break, you were warned.
A new patching run was used in this version that should catch more than just source code
changes. To apply this patch to a stock base, drop it into the main afkmud directory and
type:
patch -p1 < 156patch
This will update all the necessary files. Be advised that doing so in a non-stock setup may
result in things you weren't counting on. You should read this changelog thoroughly before
applying it.
Bugfixes this release:
do_destroy now removes names from the authorization list. [Samson]
'cedit reload' message removed from do_cedit. [Samson]
Environment code was using the same variable name for two different things. [Samson]
Memory leak in clean_obj_queue fixed. [Samson]
Hotboot recovery checks auth state for loaded players. [Samson]
All changes for Intermud-3 2.2 Client included. [Samson]
Stats buffer in the who code for each interface enlagred to prevent overflows. [Samson]
Wrong argument used to check victim in do_mpredo. [Samson]
All skills now flushed if someone restarts creation process. [Samson]
do_list will now list staves and wands with -1 charges. [Samson]
Memory leaks in race wherename table fixed. [Samson]
Non-Bugfix alterations:
Defines for LGST and SMST added to mud.h to be used by intermud modules. [Samson]
IMC2 client hooks put back into the code. [Samson]
Shell commands separated into their own command table. [Samson]
Constate for PLOADED added for finger, rent, and loadup command. [Samson]
Cases for PLOADED, REDIT, OEDIT, and MEDIT added to do_users command. [Samson]
Timezone code altered to inlude timezone name on displays. [Samson]
do_world and do_time now use updated timezone info. [Samson]
Memory cleanup function reorganized to stop extra leak reports. [Samson]
Finger command enchancements by Edge of Acedia. [Samson]
Deny option removed from auth code. Deletes pfile instead now. [Samson]
Argument options in do_authorize changed to prevent accidental deletions. [Samson]
Preload message not displayed if CON_PLOADED is active. [Samson]
Non-Code related changes:
Astral Plane zone updated to use -2 for rent calculations. [C0DE]
Command to run the mud out of Valgrind added to area directory. [Samson]

Looks like Samson has a very rare stuttering problem that affects one's ability to type type type.
