I read on the forums a few years ago that some plans was in the works for overland to be updated for fuss 1.9. did that ever happen?

I am installing it and am at the point where overland.c gives me 50 pages of errors. Figured i'd check if there was updated files before trying to dive into the jungle.

Taking bids if anyone is willing to offer service if getting overland installed on my code for me. 1.9 (modified) FUSS... can supply github link to the master source I am using.

I admit it is above my skillset, yet is something that would work really well with the project I am working on... So I am willing to pay if someone else is willing to do the labor.

edit: Will even upload it here afterwards so the community can have it too

Joey,

If you plan on running a mud now adays, you are going to have to learn to code it yourself in C programming. Times are past when you could advertise for a coder and get people interested. Now successful muds are rare. The only mud a coder is going to work on is their own, or a top mud working for someone else. You could prove me wrong, but that's how I found the last 10 years or so.

You really want Overland installed right? Might need to put that on back burner, and practice installing many smaller, easier snippets in a stock smaugfuss until you get better and better at learning to code. Eventually picking up a C book or class too might help. But many people have learned to code on their own like this.

Anyway, good luck to you, if you post problems here someone will likely try to help, but I don't think you can find a coder now adays. You got to learn it.

I understand and that's how i've been able to do 99% of everything so far. I am not asking for a full time coder for me.. I do 99% of it all myself. I just know when I am beaten and if I want this feature, I'm prepared to pay for it. that's all.

Also, you may already know this, but if not LOP has wilderness included. Unless you really just like overland wilderness look. I can understand that, cause I didn't like any wilderness looks except the one I got.

hindsight i should have went with a stock base that had it already... but i've already got months into FUSS.... HOWEVER I did find someone to help me with it... got it installed and the commands added.... just trying to get goto to work as it should now..... but... IT ALL COMPILES!

Once we get the kinks worked out and verify it's bug free, and clean up some in the src directory, I'll upload the base here. from there people can rip it out or do whatever with it.

turns out the majority of the problem was a missing stdio.h call
